Pre-Budget Report 2009: Public sector hit with double whammy of 1% pay cap and £1bn pension cut

The Chancellor took aim at the public sector today as he imposed a two-year pay cap and announced a £1 billion-a-year raid on pensions. Up to four million nurses, police and teachers and others will have a one per cent cap on pay from 2011 to 2013. It will effectively freeze or cut the earnings of up to four million workers. Britain’s biggest unions accused Alistair Darling of forcing hard-pressed public sector staff to ‘pay the price for bankers’...

For what it uses outdated technology of the 16th century, polishing a copper engraving machine. To enhance their qualifications, she went studying in the Czech Republic, where it originated in the traditional art of the Middle Ages. The girl lives and works in the English town of Wolverhampton. Her studio is located at a local university, where she received a doctoral degree in engraving on glass.
