Skiing products provider Nordica USA and vehicle maker Subaru has joined forces to help promote Subaru’s new automobile, the 2013 XV Crosstrek. The XV Crosstrek Run was created to help kickstart the new snowsports season. Two free skiers have been chosen to help promote this vehicle by allowing the athletes traverse the United States in the XV Crosstrek and capture footage of their venture. Once completed, film students from Champlain College will edit the content so it would be pleasing for online show. Tim Tagye, promotions and sponsorship manager, Subaru of America, Inc., describes the relationship of Subaru, Nordica USA, and the free skiers who participated in this run. “Through the eyes of social media, we are able to capture how our relationship with Nordica and their loyal fans has grown over the past decade, and how the go-anywhere capability of the XV Crosstrek is an excellent fit for the skiing enthusiast,” Tagye said.
Subaru and Nordica have worked together for over 10 years. They formed what is called “SNST” (Subaru-Nordica Service Team). Their representatives have traveled the country visiting ski-related events and listening to their audience so that SNST can meet their needs.
